Parent Teacher/Student Led Conferences
Information came home today about booking appointments for conferences - March 20 (415-8) and 21st (8-12:30). Please take a moment to book a 15 minute time slot using our online conference manager at https://webapps.cbe.ab.ca/MyAccount/Account/LogOn

Students will have a chance to share their learning with their parents/guardians - they're very excited to show you all of the hard work they've done!

Please note: please book a 15 minute appointment, but allow yourself an additional 15 minutes to run through some activities with your child. There will be two videos to watch plus an exit interview where you and your child will set goals for the next term.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns - or would like my assistance in booking an appointment, please do not hesitate to contact me!

Alien In-line Skating
Today was day four of skating and we have become pros at getting ready quickly and getting on our feet! Tomorrow will be our last day and we will be doing an assessment - to review, ask your child what goes on first, next, then and last? What comes off first, next, then and last? What is an explosion? If you feel wobbly what do you touch?

Google Maps
After yesterdays discussion of the militaries involvement in Afghanistan, students were interested in seeing where in the world Afghanistan was! Students had a chance to explore our world using google maps. Here are some places our students explored:
- Pakistan - where one of our students dad is right now!
- Dubai - where another students dad is right now!
- Liberia - someone has a grandma here!
- Slovakia - one of our students went here earlier this school year!
- High River - someones mom is from here!
- Philippines - one of our students was born here!
- Vietnam - one of our students was born here!
- Haiti - one of our students mom is from here!
- Egypt - one of our students was born here!
- Ireland - someones grandpa is from here!
- & all over Canada - students were born, have family, and have visited!

We also visited our very own community of Vista Heights :)
