Vocabulary Words
Please ask your child to use the following words in a sentence. If you feel that your child has already mastered these words, have them write out as many sentences as they can using each of the vocabulary words! Students have been told if they should use either list 1 or 2 based on their learning level (and grade).
List 1
List 2

Today we discussed hot and cold temperatures. We compared the temperature in our classroom to the temperature outside. It is A LOT colder outside than inside our classroom - why? Please ask your child: what is room temperature? what does room temperature mean?

Here are some temperatures we compared on a thermometer. What is the hottest temperature on our thermometer? What is the coldest temperature on our thermometer?
These are some questions we came up with which we will answer in the next couple of weeks.
"What is hotter, Mercury or Pluto?"
"What is the temperature of Mars?"
"What is the temperature of an ice cube?"
"What is the temperature on Jupiter?"
"How hot/cold would it be if we mix all of these temperatures together?"
"How hot is lava?"
"How cold/hot is the milky way?"
"Whats the temperature in England?"
"How cold is the North Pole?"
"Are clouds hot cold or warm?"

Thanks,
Ms. Toor
