Lima Beans
Yesterday we observed our lima beans after they have been sitting in water - we disected the beans to see what was inside. Here are some pictures. Can you identify what you see? Where is the seed coat, stored food, root, baby leaves?
We also made our predictions - what do you think will happen to our plants over the long weekend? Do you think they will SPROUT?
Butterflies
In preparation for our caterpillars that are arriving next week, we learned about the life cycle of the butterfly! Review this with your child - ask them to identify each of the stages.
Move and Groove
Tonight is the family move and groove - we hope everyone can make it! Doors open at 630 and the fun will end at 730. Students must come with an adult that will stay with them throughout the night. Each student will be given a ballot to enter the draw for the amazing prizes! One family will go home with a 4 pack of tickets to Calaway Park! See you tonight! (reminders: no food and drink in the gym due to our new floor. Also, please refrain from wearing high heels as it will damage our floor - thanks!)
