Move and Groove
During daily Physical Education classes, our students are learning a variety of movement or dance steps to specific songs. On Thursday, May 15th we are inviting parents/guardians to join us in the gym and have your children teach you the moves from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. (Students will not be allowed to enter unless an adult is present) Most of the movements are sequences that are done as an individual in a line or circle formation. We are offering prizes throughout the hour to students who are participating! UPDATE: THE DANCE IS NOW FREE! Bring your family for a fun night out! Please come and join us!!!

Lockdown Practice
Information came home today about the surprise practice lockdown that took place today. With the support of Constable Dan from the Calgary Police, students practiced what they would do in the event of a lockdown. We reviewed the green dot - go spots - which have been identified in each classroom as safe places to go to when a lockdown is announced. Please review expectations with your child.

Lima Beans
We will be planting lima bean plants! But before we do, we looked at and sketched the beans a few days ago and then soaked them in water. Observe the change that happened! What do you notice? What does the seed feel like? What does the seed look like? What does the seed smell like?

We also discussed the life cycle of a bean plant - here are the stages all mixed up. Can you guess which stage comes first? What times after? put all the stages in order - can you explain why?

Here is a super cool time lapse video we watched of a lima bean to help!

Mixed up sentences!
Today Ms. Toor wrote a bunch of sentences and she made a lot of mistakes! Students helped write the following sentences correctly - but not everyone was able to finish! Here are the sentences - please help Ms. Toor fix them!!! (remember the vowels! a e i o u sometimes y)
