Tips For Parents/Guardians
- Children learn to read by reading
- Set aside a reading time that’s good for everyone
- Read together. Take turns or have one person read
- Fill your home with reading materials of all sorts
- Be caught reading yourself
- Listen to and tell stories
- Use writing and drawing to share ideas
- Sing songs, chant rhymes
- Read every day that you eat!
- Chat about everything, all the time.
